One of the main services we get asked to provide is tree pollarding, a type of pruning procedure where the upper branches of the tree are cut. Historically this process was undertaken to produce food for livestock or for wood supply, however these days more often than not a client will want to tame an unwieldy tree that is perhaps blocking light or infringing on a neighbour’s land.

When pollarding has just taken place, a tree can look quite stark and bare however the good news is that the procedure promotes healthy growth and a dense head of branches and foliage. More often than not it will also give the tree a much longer life.

If you would like to chat with us about pollarding or if you have a tree you think may benefit from this then please give us a call on 07983 373724 or contact us here
